There are just a few weeks left for Christmas. There is warmth and good cheer in the air, even though the weather is pretty cold. Buying gifts for kids in particular is tricky. But looking at their happy expressions when they open up their gifts is a great reward. Kids may of course come up with so many gift ideas; some of them which you couldn’t possibly fulfill. I remember my teenager when he was a barely 3, had asked for a real pony for his birthday. The next best thing I could do was to get him a toy pony. It was his favorite toy and I think I still have it up in the attic somewhere.

You may ask them what they want for Christmas. However if you are imaginative you may also want to buy them a gift of your choice. I usually buy them two gifts. The first gift is of their choice and the second gift is something I would like to buy for them.

Buy a toy doll house for your little girl this Christmas; probably one that she can build with you. Boys simply love remote controlled trucks and cars. But you could also get them a set of building blocks. With such a gift they will spend hours building all kinds of things. This will help to stir up their imagination.

Another great gift idea is a [fire truck scooter]. It’s a scooter meant for kids that they can ride. It makes a sound just like that of a fire engine and has flashing lights. You don’t need to worry as it is quite safe.

Whenever you buy gifts, put yourself in the place of your kid and think of what you might have wanted as a gift if all the options that are available today, were available when you were a kid. I am sure that you will be able to find a great gift for your children using that simple rule.
