Everyone has a clue that you are expected to bring a little something something to a house warming party, don’t you?  If you’re like me, you didn’t even consider an offering until you arrive at the party.  What went wrong?

It is very important that when you attend a get-together such as a dinner party, housewarming, or holiday event, you show the party giver that you are thankful for the time, effort, and money that went into the party.  One of the best ways to make the party giver feel special is to offer a gift.  Beverages are the primary choice for many.  Wine is a classy choice, but if the hosts are not drinkers (or worse, alchies), you could be in trouble. Perhaps food and drink aren’t your thing.  In that event you could bring flowers or a coffee gift basket.  Just remember, to be yourself, and don’t let the gift giving prevent you from enjoying the party.  You can always bring a hug and a smile!  Remember, no gift is complete without your personalized, and lovingly autographed card.  Not only is it a good idea, but it cements the idea that you did bring a gift!
