Planning Ahead for Stress Free Christmas Shopping
You might hate me for mentioning it so early, but the fact is Christmas is not so far away. Before you know it there will only be a few weeks left and the panic would have started. People will start to break out in cold sweats and worry about what to buy everyone.
Last year it was great as I had lots of time to do my Christmas shopping. I did not have that rush to the shops and I could take a relaxed walk around the town with no crowds and no hassle. As I am working full time this year, I need to get myself totally organised.
I find that one of the worst parts of Christmas is pinning down the family and finding out what they want me to get them. I actually do not mind spending money if I know what I am buying, it just gets to me when you traipse round the shops, thinking would they like this, would they like that and still coming home with nothing.
This year I really want to try and do my bit for the environment and have decided to take a look at eco friendly gift ideas. Knowing you can help other people and the environment is always a good thing when buying presents, and isn’t doing this at Christmas perfect for the spirit of the holiday?
There is such a vast choice of gifts available, and whilst looking I have also managed to source my tableware – now I can be sure that my dinner table is going to look fantastic come Christmas time.
My husband is never sure what he should be buying me, so I have dropped a few hints about vases. That way, there are no excuses why he cannot get me some flowers throughout the year. Well occasionally you have to give them a push in the right direction.
Well I digress, I must return to my shopping lists and see what Great Aunt Gladys wants this year – it will no doubt be the same as every other year – pink fluffy slippers!
