Photography is one such hobby which can let you have a great tiem doing it, and an opportunity to relax and enjoy the results afterwards. I also learned recently that Canon EOS cameras are popular with astro-imaging enthusiasts. But, my friend did carp about the fact that he thought that the typical T-ring / telescope set-up does not take advantage of the wide aperture of the Canon bayonet mount.

Quite frankly I think this was a very minor quibble and not true at all of the Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital Camera which is my favourite.

Unfortunately, digital cameras now follow the computer equipment model in depreciating rapidly the moment they’re purchased. But I am told that EOS lenses continue to be resold at decent prices.
